Glossary / Welcome email

What is Welcome email?

The welcome email is the first message a new subscriber gets. It arrives while interest is highest, so it deserves more care than most sends.

Someone just signed up. They remember who you are and why they were interested. That is the moment your email is most welcome, and it does not come back.

Say three things. Confirm what they signed up for, deliver whatever you promised, and set expectations for how often you will write. If a next step makes sense, name one, not five.

Send it immediately, not on Tuesday with the newsletter. And write it as a person, not a department. This is the email that establishes what your voice sounds like for everything after it.

In Creaiter

Creaiter's journeys send the welcome the moment a contact joins, written in the same brand voice as the rest of your marketing.
