Glossary / Autoresponder
What is Autoresponder?
An autoresponder is an email that sends itself when something happens, like a signup or a purchase. You write it once and it runs on its own.
Someone joins your list at 2 a.m. The welcome email goes out at 2:01 a.m. Nobody was awake. That is an autoresponder: a message tied to a trigger instead of a calendar date.
The common ones are the welcome email, the receipt follow-up, the abandoned cart nudge, and the 'we missed you' note after months of silence. Each fires off one event and needs no attention once it works.
Check them twice a year. Autoresponders are the emails most likely to go stale, because nobody watches them go out. An expired discount code can keep sending for months before anyone notices.
In Creaiter
Creaiter's email journeys are autoresponders you build in chat, triggered by what a contact does rather than by a date on the calendar.
