Glossary / Web analytics
What is Web analytics?
Web analytics is the practice of measuring what people do on your website, then using what you find to decide what to change.
It covers both the collecting and the reading: how many people arrive, where they came from, which pages they use, and what they do before they leave or buy.
Every web analytics number measures recorded behavior, not all behavior. Ad blockers, refused cookies, and privacy settings mean some visits are never recorded at all. Two tools on the same site will rarely agree, and neither one is lying.
The value is in the decisions, not the dashboard. Pick a few questions you would change your plans over, such as which pages bring in leads and which posts nobody finishes, and leave the rest of the report alone until something breaks.
In Creaiter
Creaiter connects Google Analytics and Search Console, explains the charts in plain language, and suggests which content to refresh.
