Glossary / Key performance indicator (KPI)
What is Key performance indicator (KPI)?
A KPI is one of the few numbers you have agreed actually show whether the work is succeeding. The key part means few.
You can measure hundreds of things. A KPI is the handful you steer by, because they connect straight to the outcome you want. Qualified leads per month is a KPI. Total page views usually is not.
A workable KPI has three parts: the number, the time period, and the target. Twelve booked demos a month by the end of the quarter can be checked. Grow awareness cannot.
Keep the list short. A team with fourteen KPIs has none, because every week somebody can point at a green one. Three or four that people actually remember will change what gets done.
In Creaiter
Creaiter's dashboards put campaign results, content performance, and conversions in one place, so the numbers you steer by are not scattered.
