Glossary / Search intent
What is Search intent?
Search intent is what a person actually wants when they type a query: to learn, to compare, or to buy. Matching it is what makes content rank.
The same person searches differently at different moments. 'What is drip irrigation' wants a lesson. 'Best drip irrigation kits' wants a comparison. 'Buy drip irrigation kit' wants a checkout.
Search engines are good at reading intent, so the results page tells you what they think. If page one is all buying guides, a sales page will struggle there, and the reverse holds too.
Match your format to the intent before you write. The right answer in the wrong format loses to a worse answer in the right one.
In Creaiter
Creaiter's keyword research shows the intent behind each phrase, so you write the page the searcher is actually looking for.
