Glossary / On-page SEO
What is On-page SEO?
On-page SEO is everything you control on the page itself: the title, headings, copy, links, and images. It is the part you can fix today.
Start with the basics on every page. One clear title tag, a meta description worth clicking, a single H1, headings that outline the content, and copy that answers the question the visitor arrived with.
Then the supporting parts. Descriptive alt text on images, internal links to related pages, a readable address, and no walls of text. None of this is clever work. It is either done or not done.
The biggest on-page factor is still whether the page delivers on the search intent behind the keyword. A perfectly tagged page that answers the wrong question will not hold its position for long.
