Glossary / Off-page SEO
What is Off-page SEO?
Off-page SEO is everything that builds your reputation away from your own site: links, mentions, reviews, and where people talk about you.
On-page SEO is what you control on your pages. Off-page is what other people do. Links from other sites, mentions of your name with no link at all, reviews, press coverage, and the plain question of whether anyone has heard of you.
It moves slower because you are not the one deciding. You earn it by being useful in public: original data, real expertise, and showing up in the places your customers already spend time.
You can still measure it. Track referring domains, searches for your brand name, and review counts over time. When all three climb, the rest of your SEO gets easier.
