Glossary / Knowledge panel
What is Knowledge panel?
A knowledge panel is the information box Google shows beside results for a recognised person, company or thing, built from sources it trusts.
Search a well known brand and a panel appears with a description, logo, links and facts. Google assembles it from its own map of entities, not from anything you upload.
You cannot create one on demand. It appears once a search engine is confident an entity exists and has enough consistent, corroborated information about it.
What you can do is make consistency easy: one spelling of your name everywhere, organisation structured data on your site, accurate profiles on the sites search engines already trust, and the same description across all of them.
