Glossary / First-party data
What is First-party data?
First-party data is information your customers give you directly, like email addresses, purchases, and site behavior. You own it and you can use it.
When someone subscribes to your newsletter, buys from you, or browses your site, they hand you information directly. That is first-party data. Nobody sold it to you and nobody can take it away.
This matters more every year. Third-party cookies, the trackers that follow people across other websites, are being switched off by browsers and limited by privacy rules. The data people gave you on purpose is the part that keeps working.
Collect it with a clear reason and a clear promise. Tell people what you will send and how often, honor the unsubscribe immediately, and store only what you actually use.
In Creaiter
Creaiter keeps your contacts, segments, and email history in one workspace, so the data your audience gave you stays usable.
