Glossary / Engagement rate

What is Engagement rate?

Engagement rate is the share of people who saw a post and did something with it, like liking, commenting, saving, or sharing.

The math is simple: interactions divided by reach or followers, shown as a percentage. Every platform counts it a little differently, so compare a post against your own past posts rather than someone else's screenshot.

It tells you more than follower count does, because it measures whether the content landed. A small account with high engagement often sells more than a large quiet one.

Watch which kind of engagement you get. Saves and shares usually signal real value. A wave of angry comments raises the rate and helps nothing.
