Integrations / Google Search Console integration
See the search queries your pages actually win.
Creaiter connects to Google Search Console and reads the queries, impressions, clicks and average position for the pages you published, so keyword work is checked against reality instead of a guess.
This is Creaiter's own page describing Creaiter's own Search Console integration, and Creaiter has no affiliation with Google.
Keyword research tells you what people might search. Google Search Console tells you what they did search, and which of your pages Google actually showed them. Those are different facts, and the second one is the one worth planning against.
Creaiter reads Search Console for the pages you published through it, so the query data lands next to the piece it belongs to rather than in a separate tab you visit once a quarter.
The scope is deliberately narrow and worth naming now: this integration reads Search Console. It does not submit sitemaps, request indexing, or repair technical SEO problems for you.
What the Search Console integration actually does
You sign in with Google and grant read access to Search Console. Creaiter lists the sites that account can see so you choose the right property, which matters because a domain property and a URL prefix property can report different things for what looks like the same site.
For a given published URL, Creaiter pulls the search analytics that page earned: the queries it appeared for, how many impressions and clicks each query produced, and the average position. That is the difference between believing a piece targets a keyword and knowing which keywords it is actually being shown for.
- Sign in with Google, pick which Search Console property to read
- Queries, impressions, clicks and average position for a published page
- Reporting attached to the piece in your content repository, not a separate export
- Feeds the keyword side of Creaiter with what the page really ranks for
- Read only access, so nothing in your Search Console account is altered
How to connect Search Console
The setup is a Google sign-in. There is no HTML verification file to upload, because Creaiter reads a property you have already verified with Google rather than verifying a new one.
- Verify your site in Google Search Console first, if you have not already
- In Creaiter, open Settings, then Integrations
- Choose the Search Console card and sign in with Google
- Grant read access when Google asks
- Pick the site property you want Creaiter to read
- Publish or link a page, since page level query data needs a live URL
The row cap, and why we mention it
Search Console returns at most twenty five thousand rows per request. A page with a long tail wider than that comes back cut off, and any total calculated from the cut list is a sample, not a total.
Creaiter says so when a report hits that ceiling. It would be easy to print the number and move on, and most tools do, because a caveat looks worse in a screenshot than a clean figure does. A number you cannot trust is worse than a number with a warning attached to it, so the warning stays.
The same rule applies to failures. If the read did not succeed, Creaiter says the read did not succeed. It does not render a zero and let you draw the wrong conclusion about a page that is doing fine.
What day to day looks like
You publish a piece. A few weeks later, once Google has had time to index and show it, you ask what it is ranking for. The answer names the actual queries, which is usually more interesting than the keyword you set out to target.
That gap is the useful part. The queries you did not plan for are where the next piece comes from, and having them attached to the original article is what makes the next brief write itself.
What the Search Console integration does not do
Everything below is outside this integration. Some of it is outside Creaiter entirely.
- It does not verify your site with Google. You verify the property, Creaiter reads it
- It does not submit sitemaps, request indexing, or make any write to Search Console
- It does not fix technical SEO issues such as crawl errors, redirects, or page speed
- It does not audit or build backlinks, and it does not report referring domains
- It does not report paid search, because Creaiter does not run paid advertising
- It is not a sales CRM and does not connect a query to a deal
Before you connect Search Console
- 01Your site is already verified in Google Search Console
- 02You can sign in with a Google account that has access to that property
- 03You know whether your property is a domain property or a URL prefix property
- 04The pages you care about are live and have been live long enough for Google to index them
- 05You are comfortable granting read access to that Google account
- 06You know who on your team holds the connection, since it is tied to a Google sign-in
- 07You accept that a new site may have almost no query data yet, which is normal and not a fault
Creaiter fits if
- Content teams who want to check what a published piece really ranks for
- Marketers planning the next article from real queries rather than from a guess
- Small teams with no SEO specialist who still need the search picture
- Anyone who would rather be told a report was truncated than shown a tidy wrong number
Look elsewhere if
- Sites not yet verified in Search Console, since Creaiter reads and does not verify
- Brand new sites with no search history, where there is simply nothing to read yet
- Teams whose priority is backlink auditing or link building, which Creaiter does not do
- Teams that need technical SEO crawling and error fixing, which this integration does not perform
- Anyone expecting paid search reporting, because Creaiter does not run advertising
Common questions
What do I need before I can set this up?
A site already verified in Google Search Console, and a Google account with access to it. Then it is Settings, Integrations, the Search Console card, sign in with Google, grant read access, and pick the property. There is no verification file to upload through Creaiter.
What happens if the connection fails?
Creaiter tells you the read failed and gives the reason instead of showing an empty report. Common causes are revoked access in your Google account or a signed-in user who no longer has permission on the property. Reconnecting from Settings fixes both.
Why does a report sometimes say it is incomplete?
Search Console caps a single request at twenty five thousand rows. When a page has more query rows than that in the window you asked for, the answer is genuinely partial, and Creaiter labels it partial rather than presenting a capped list as a complete total.
Can Creaiter submit a sitemap or ask Google to index a page?
No. This integration is read only. Sitemap submission and indexing requests stay in Search Console, where you do them yourself.
Free early access. No card, and nothing to cancel.
