Integrations / Wix integration

Publish to your Wix blog without leaving the chat.

Connect Wix once by approving Creaiter from your own Wix account. After that, a finished post goes from the conversation to your Wix blog with headings, links and formatting intact.

Creaiter builds the Wix integration described on this page, so treat this as a vendor page about its own product and check the claims against your own setup.

Wix is a good place to run a site and an irritating place to keep a blog fed. The editor is fine for a page you build once. It is less fine when you are shipping a post a week and the drafting happens somewhere else entirely.

Creaiter's Wix integration removes the handoff. You approve the connection once from inside your Wix account, and after that a finished piece can be published to your Wix blog from the chat that wrote it.

As with everything on these pages, the limit is stated first: Creaiter publishes blog posts to Wix and WordPress with no code, and to a Vercel or custom site once you add a small publish endpoint to it. It is not a site builder, and it does not touch your Wix pages, your store, or your design.

What the Wix integration actually does

Creaiter creates posts on your Wix blog through the Wix Blog API. The draft written in Creaiter is converted into the rich content format Wix uses internally, which is why the post arrives with real bold text, real links and real bullet lists rather than the raw markdown characters that a plain paste leaves behind.

It also refuses to create the same post twice. Before creating anything, Creaiter reconciles against what already exists on your Wix blog, so a retried publish or a double click produces one live post rather than two near-identical ones you then have to hunt down and delete.

  • Posts are created on your Wix blog through the Wix Blog API
  • Markdown is converted into Wix rich content, so formatting survives the trip
  • One publish produces one live post, even if the request is retried
  • Cover images are resolved and attached where a piece has one
  • Campaign tracking parameters can be appended to outbound links
  • A brand safety check runs on the piece before it is allowed to publish

How to connect your Wix site

Wix uses an approval flow rather than a pasted password, so there is no credential for you to copy, store, or accidentally email to a colleague. You approve Creaiter from inside your own Wix account, and Wix hands back the access.

  • In Creaiter, open Settings, then Integrations, then the Wix card
  • Click connect, which sends you to Wix's own approval screen
  • Sign in to Wix with an account that can manage the site you want to publish to
  • Approve the connection and let Wix send you back to Creaiter
  • Run the connection test before you publish your first post
  • Confirm the site name shown in Creaiter is the site you actually meant

The image rule, stated before it surprises you

Wix stores blog images by its own internal media reference. An image hosted anywhere else is not accepted inside the body of a Wix post, which is a Wix design decision and not something a publishing tool can talk its way around.

Creaiter handles this by keeping the reference rather than silently dropping it. An inline image in your draft is published as a labeled link pointing at the original image, so nothing disappears from the piece and the post stays valid. If you want images embedded in the body, upload them to your Wix media library and place them in the Wix editor after publishing.

This is the kind of detail most integration pages leave out and most users discover on their first live post. Better to read it here.

What day to day looks like

Ask the chat for a post. Review and edit it in Creaiter, where drafts are scored for SEO as you work. Publish when you are happy, and the post appears on your Wix blog.

Every published piece keeps a record of where it went and when. That record is what lets the analytics side of Creaiter report on the exact URL later, so the same piece you wrote in the chat can be measured in the chat.

What the Wix integration does not do

The list below is the honest boundary. If something you need is on it, this integration will disappoint you, and it is cheaper to find that out now.

  • It publishes blog posts. It does not edit your Wix site pages, your navigation, your design, or your store products
  • It does not publish into Webflow, Squarespace, Ghost, Shopify or Contentful. Beyond WordPress and Wix it publishes to a Vercel or custom site, through a small publish endpoint you add to it
  • It does not embed externally hosted images inside the post body, because Wix does not accept them
  • It does not import your existing Wix posts into Creaiter
  • It does not run paid advertising on any network
  • It is not a sales CRM, and it does no backlink auditing

Before you connect Wix

  1. 01Your Wix site has the blog enabled, since that is where posts are created
  2. 02You can sign in with a Wix account that has permission to manage that site
  3. 03You know which site to pick if your Wix account manages more than one
  4. 04You have decided how images will be handled, given inline images publish as links
  5. 05You have agreed internally who reviews a piece before it goes live
  6. 06You are able to open the Wix approval screen in the same browser you use for Creaiter
  7. 07You have a plan for who reconnects the site if the approval is ever revoked

Creaiter fits if

  • Small businesses whose site is already on Wix and whose blog keeps going stale
  • Marketers who want the drafting and the publishing to live in one place
  • Teams that publish text-led posts where the argument matters more than the image layout
  • Anyone who would rather approve an app once than manage another password

Look elsewhere if

  • Sites on Webflow, Squarespace, Ghost, Shopify, or Contentful, which Creaiter cannot publish into and has not started
  • Image-heavy posts that need photographs embedded through the body, given the Wix media rule above
  • Anyone expecting Creaiter to build or redesign Wix pages, which it does not do
  • Teams whose main ask is paid advertising, which Creaiter does not run
  • Teams that need a sales CRM, or backlink auditing, neither of which Creaiter provides

Common questions

How do I connect Wix, and do I have to paste an API key?

No key. You open the Wix card in Creaiter's Integrations settings, click connect, and approve Creaiter from Wix's own screen while signed in to your Wix account. Wix sends you back, and Creaiter runs a connection test so you know it worked before you publish anything.

What happens if the connection fails or expires?

Creaiter reports the failure rather than quietly skipping the publish. The usual causes are an approval that was revoked in Wix, an expired authorization, or a site the connected account can no longer manage. Reconnecting from the same Integrations card restarts the approval and resolves it.

Will publishing twice create two posts?

No. Creaiter checks your Wix blog for the post before creating it, so a retry or a double click resolves to one live post instead of a duplicate you have to clean up.

Can I publish to Wix and WordPress from the same account?

Yes. They are separate connections in Settings, and both can be active at once. Vercel and custom sites are separate connections too, and any of them can be active alongside the others.
