Glossary / Copywriting

What is Copywriting?

Copywriting is writing meant to get someone to act: click, sign up, reply, or buy. It is judged by what people do, not by how it reads.

It differs from other writing in one way. There is a specific action at the end, and the copy exists to make that action feel like the obvious next step.

The habits that work are unglamorous. Lead with the benefit, use the words your customers use, cut every sentence that does not earn its place, and make the ask clear. Clever headlines that hide the offer lose to plain ones that state it.

This applies well past the landing page. Button labels, error messages, empty screens, and confirmation emails are all copy. Those are the words people actually read.

In Creaiter

Creaiter drafts copy in your brand voice, so headlines, emails, and captions read like the same company wrote them.
