Glossary / Conversion funnel
What is Conversion funnel?
A conversion funnel is the set of steps someone passes through on the way to buying, from the first visit to the finished order.
Picture the path. Someone lands on your site, looks at a product, adds it to the cart, then checks out. Each step holds fewer people than the one before it. Draw that shape and it looks like a funnel.
The point of mapping it is to find the step where people drop out. If 800 people reach the cart and 90 finish, the problem lives in checkout, not in your ads. Fixing the widest leak beats buying more traffic.
Keep the steps few and real. A funnel with nine stages you cannot measure is a diagram, not a tool. Three or four steps you can actually count will tell you more.
In Creaiter
Creaiter's conversion tracking shows how many people reach each step you have set up, so the drop-off is visible instead of assumed.
