Glossary / Content gap
What is Content gap?
A content gap is a topic your audience searches for that you have not covered, and often your competitors have. It is a list of what to write next.
You find gaps by comparing what people search for in your space against what exists on your site. Competitor pages ranking for terms you have nothing on are the clearest signal.
Not every gap is worth filling. Some topics bring visitors who will never buy. Rank the gaps by how close the topic sits to what you sell, then by how hard the term looks to rank for.
Gaps also hide inside topics you already cover. A strong guide with no page answering the obvious follow-up question is a gap, even when the main term is already yours.
