Integrations / Resend integration

Your Resend account, your domain, your sending reputation.

Creaiter writes and builds the campaign. Resend delivers it, using the API key from your own Resend account, so the sending domain and the reputation stay yours.

Written by Creaiter about Creaiter's own Resend integration, which means this page has an obvious interest in you connecting one.

Email is where marketing tools quietly take something from you. Send through a shared platform address and the deliverability you build belongs to the platform, not to your company. Move away later and you start from nothing.

Creaiter's approach is the other one. You bring a Resend account, you verify your own sending domain inside it, and you paste your own API key. Creaiter writes the campaign, builds it, and hands it to Resend over your credentials.

That is a real prerequisite and it deserves saying plainly at the top: no Resend account means no email sending. Resend is a separate company, you sign up with them directly, and their pricing is theirs. Creaiter does not resell it or bill you for it.

What the Resend integration actually does

Once your Resend key is connected to your workspace, Creaiter uses it to send campaign email. The chat can draft the campaign, generate the copy for it, and dispatch it through Resend without you assembling the message in a separate tool.

Personalization runs through merge tags, so a field like a first name resolves per recipient rather than shipping to your customers as literal text in curly braces. Links can carry campaign tracking parameters, which is what makes the analytics side able to tell you later which email drove the visit.

  • Campaign email is sent through your own Resend account and API key
  • Merge tags resolve per recipient rather than going out as raw placeholders
  • Campaign tracking parameters can be added to the links in a send
  • A view in browser link is generated for recipients whose client mangles the layout
  • Sends are paced in batches on a schedule rather than fired all at once
  • Your workspace's own key is used when one is connected, and Creaiter reports which key sent a campaign

How to connect Resend

Two accounts, one paste. The part that takes the longest is not Creaiter's step, it is verifying your sending domain inside Resend, because that involves DNS records and DNS takes as long as DNS takes.

  • Create a Resend account at resend.com if you do not have one
  • Add your sending domain in Resend and complete their DNS verification
  • Create an API key in Resend and copy it once
  • In Creaiter, open Settings, then Integrations, then the Resend card
  • Paste the key and save it
  • Send a test to yourself before you send to anyone else

Compliance is built into the send, not left to you

Every campaign email Creaiter dispatches carries the pieces a legitimate marketing email is supposed to carry: a working unsubscribe link, the header that lets an email client offer one click unsubscribe, and a postal address in the footer.

Unsubscribes are then honored on the way out. Before a send, Creaiter checks the recipient against the do not send list, so someone who opted out does not receive the next campaign because a list got re-imported. This is not a setting you can forget to switch on, which is the point.

Sends are also paced rather than blasted. A brand new sending domain that fires thousands of messages in one minute is teaching every inbox provider to distrust it, and that damage is difficult to undo. Batching is slower and it protects the asset you actually care about.

What day to day looks like

You describe the campaign in the chat. Creaiter drafts it, you edit, and you send. The message goes out over your Resend account, from your domain, with unsubscribe handling attached.

Because the drafting, the sending and the content repository all sit in one place, the email that supports a blog post is written next to the blog post rather than reconstructed from memory in another tool two weeks later.

What the Resend integration does not do

The honest boundary, including the parts that cost you money elsewhere.

  • It does not give you a Resend account. You create one, and Resend bills you directly under their own pricing
  • It does not verify your sending domain for you. That is DNS work you complete inside Resend
  • It does not send campaign email through a different email provider. Resend is the campaign send path
  • It does not rescue a poor sending reputation, warm a cold domain overnight, or guarantee inbox placement
  • It does not run paid advertising on any network
  • It is not a sales CRM, and it does no backlink auditing

Before you connect Resend

  1. 01You have created a Resend account, or you are willing to, since it is required
  2. 02You have checked Resend's own pricing against the volume you expect to send
  3. 03You own a domain you can add DNS records to for verification
  4. 04Your sending domain is verified inside Resend before your first real campaign
  5. 05You created an API key in Resend and stored it somewhere safe
  6. 06You have a postal address you are willing to show in the email footer, because compliant marketing email requires one
  7. 07Your contact list is people who agreed to hear from you, which no tool can fix after the fact
  8. 08You have sent a test to yourself and read it on a phone

Creaiter fits if

  • Teams that want the sending domain and the deliverability reputation to stay theirs
  • Marketers who would rather write the campaign in the same place they write everything else
  • Small teams with no dedicated email operations person who still need compliant sends
  • Anyone comfortable running their own Resend account rather than renting a platform address

Look elsewhere if

  • Anyone unwilling to create a Resend account, because the campaign send path requires one
  • Teams that must send through a different email provider they are already committed to
  • Anyone looking for transactional email infrastructure for their own application, which is a Resend job and not a Creaiter one
  • Teams that want a guarantee of inbox placement, which no honest tool can offer
  • Teams whose main ask is paid advertising, a sales CRM, or backlink auditing, none of which Creaiter does

Common questions

Do I really need my own Resend account?

Yes, for campaign sending. You sign up with Resend directly, verify your sending domain there, and paste an API key into Creaiter. That is a real prerequisite and a real cost that Resend bills you for, and it is also the reason your domain reputation stays yours instead of being pooled with everyone else's.

How long does setup take?

The Creaiter half is one paste in Settings, then Integrations. The Resend half depends on DNS. Adding the records takes minutes and propagation can take longer, so start the domain verification before the day you want to send.

What happens if the key is wrong or the send fails?

A failed send is reported as failed with the reason from the provider, not marked as sent. The two usual causes are a key that was revoked or regenerated in Resend, and a sending domain that is not verified yet. Both are fixed in Resend, then the key is re-saved in Creaiter if it changed.

What does Creaiter charge for email?

Nothing today. Creaiter is in free early access: the whole product, no card. Paid tiers at 29 dollars for Pro and 99 dollars for Business are planned and are not purchasable yet. Resend's own charges are separate and go to Resend.
