Glossary / Lead magnet

What is Lead magnet?

A lead magnet is something useful you give away in exchange for an email address, like a checklist, a template, or a pricing guide.

'Subscribe to our newsletter' asks for something and offers nothing specific. 'Get the 12-point roof inspection checklist' offers something concrete. The second one is a lead magnet, and it collects far more addresses.

The best ones solve one narrow problem the reader has right now, and solve it in minutes. A one-page checklist beats a long ebook nobody opens. Match it to what you sell, or you will collect addresses that never buy.

The download is the start, not the finish. Without a follow-up sequence a lead magnet is just free work. Plan the next three emails before you launch the offer.

In Creaiter

When someone claims your offer, Creaiter can add them to a segment and run the follow-up journey without you touching it.
