Use cases / Email campaigns
The email that has been a draft for three weeks.
Creaiter writes the campaign, builds the segment from a description, sends through your own Resend account, and handles unsubscribes. Then it turns the one-off into a journey when it is worth repeating. Pressing send is still a decision you make on purpose.
We build Creaiter, so this is our sales page and not an impartial review of the email category.
Most people hunting for an AI email campaign tool have the same specific problem. The list exists. The reason to email it exists. The draft is half written in a document somewhere and it has been half written for three weeks, because finishing it means choosing a segment, fighting a template editor, and being responsible for what lands in a few thousand inboxes.
That last part is the real weight. Email is the one marketing artifact you cannot edit after publishing. It is also the one where getting compliance wrong is not a style problem, it is a legal one.
Creaiter takes a campaign from a sentence to a send in one conversation. You describe the email and the audience, it drafts, it builds the segment, it sends through your connected Resend account, and it handles the unsubscribes. What it will not do is decide this email should go out. You do that when you send or schedule it. One caveat: a scheduled campaign goes out at its time without a second check, and if a channel has no draft ready the job writes one and sends that, so read every channel before you schedule.
What you type, and what it does with it
A useful opening prompt sounds like a request to a colleague: email everyone who downloaded the pricing guide in the last sixty days and has not booked a call, tell them about the new onboarding session, keep it short and not pushy.
Two things happen from that one sentence. The audience half becomes a segment, built from the conditions you described rather than from a filter panel you have to learn. The message half becomes a draft in your brand voice with a subject line, preview text and a single clear call to action.
Then you argue with it in the same chat. Shorter. Warmer. Drop the second paragraph. Make the subject line sound less like an advertisement. Give me three subject lines and let me choose.
- Describe the audience in words, get a segment
- Draft, subject line, preview text and one call to action
- Edits by conversation instead of wrestling a template
- Contacts and AI assisted segments sit in the same place as the campaign
Sending happens through your account, not ours
Email goes out through Resend, and you bring your own Resend account and key. That is a deliberate choice with a real trade-off, so here is both sides of it.
In your favor: the sending relationship is yours. Your domain, your reputation, your logs, your billing. If you stop using Creaiter, the sending setup does not walk out of the door with us, and nobody else's behavior on a shared pool becomes your deliverability problem.
Against you: it is a setup step before anything sends. You need a Resend account and you need to verify your sending domain, which means DNS records. Skip it and nothing goes out. There is no fallback pool quietly shipping your mail from an address you do not control, which is a feature until the afternoon you are in a hurry.
Deliverability is not something a tool can hand you
This is where email marketing pages usually start lying. Whether your email reaches the inbox depends mostly on your sending domain's reputation, and reputation is built by sending wanted mail to people who asked for it, over time. Nothing else substitutes.
No software can give you that, and any tool implying it can is describing an outcome it does not control. What good tooling can do is avoid making it worse: authenticate properly, honor unsubscribes immediately, keep the list clean, and make segmenting easier than blasting the whole database because blasting was one click closer.
Creaiter handles unsubscribes on every send. Someone who opts out stops receiving campaigns without you configuring anything, which is both the law in most places and the cheapest thing you can do for your reputation.
One send, or something that keeps running
A campaign is a single message to a segment on a date. A journey is a sequence that runs on its own once a trigger fires: a contact is created, is in a segment, has a tag, opens or clicks an email, submits a form, does something you track on your site, like visiting your pricing page, or reaches a date you keep on the contact, like a birthday or anniversary.
Both live here, and the second one is where the value hides. The welcome sequence everyone knows they should have is usually missing because setting it up means an afternoon inside a flow builder you open twice a year. Describing it in a sentence is a different size of task, and tasks that fit in the gaps are the ones that actually happen.
You can start with the one-off and promote it later. When a campaign turns out to be worth sending to everyone who arrives from now on, it becomes a journey step instead of a thing you keep meaning to resend.
- One-off campaigns to a segment you described in words
- Journeys on a trigger: welcome, follow-up, re-engagement
- Automation that keeps running after you stop thinking about it
- Unsubscribe handling on every send, without configuration
Where a person still has to decide
Read the whole email before it sends. Out loud if it is going to more than a few hundred people. Email is permanent in a way a blog post is not, and the typo you find at 9am is already in every inbox.
Check the segment size and spot check who is in it. A segment built from a description is only as good as the description, and the failure mode is silent: the query runs, it returns people, they are the wrong people.
Decide the frequency. A tool will happily help you send weekly. Whether your list wants to hear from you weekly is a judgment call, and getting it wrong shows up months later as unsubscribes and quiet.
Own the compliance basics. Permission to email these people, a real business address, an honest subject line. The unsubscribe mechanics are handled for you. The decision to only email people who asked for it is yours.
Cost and current state
Creaiter is free right now in early access, the whole product, no card. The planned Pro tier is twenty nine dollars and Business is ninety nine, and neither can be bought yet.
Two costs do land on you today regardless. Your Resend account for sending, and your own AI provider key for the writing. Both are accounts you hold and control, and both bill you directly at whatever those providers charge.
What to check before you trust a tool with your list
- 01Who owns the sending relationship, you or the vendor, and what happens to your domain reputation if you leave?
- 02Are unsubscribes handled automatically on every send, with no step you could forget?
- 03Can you build a segment without learning a query builder, and inspect who is in it before you send?
- 04Can you export your contacts in a normal file? Test that before you import anything.
- 05Does it support journeys, or only one-off sends? The recurring sequences are where the value compounds.
- 06Does anything about it promise inbox placement? That is a claim nobody can honestly make.
- 07What is the setup cost before the first send, including domain verification and DNS records?
- 08Can you preview the message and send yourself a real test before it goes to anyone else?
Creaiter fits if
- You have a list you are not emailing often enough, and the blocker is the work between the idea and the send.
- You will run your own Resend account so the sending domain and its reputation stay yours.
- You want segments described in words rather than built in a filter panel.
- You need the recurring sequences, welcome and follow-up and win-back, not just one-off sends.
- You want the campaign written in the same place as the content it promotes.
Look elsewhere if
- You do not want to set up Resend or verify a sending domain. Without that nothing sends, and there is no shared pool fallback.
- You need transactional email tied to your app: receipts, password resets, order confirmations. That belongs in your product, not a marketing tool.
- You need a full sales CRM where email sits next to deals and rep activity. Creaiter sends to marketing contacts and segments, and its sales pipeline is a light deal board rather than a full CRM, with no rep seats and no service desk.
- You run commerce lifecycle email tied to a store platform, with abandoned cart and post purchase flows. There is no store integration of any kind.
- You need per-message legal approval logged in a separate compliance system of record.
Common questions
Do I need my own Resend account?
Yes. You bring the account and the key, and you verify your sending domain. It is a real setup step, and it exists so the sending relationship and the reputation you build belong to you rather than to us.
Will my emails land in the inbox?
That depends on your sending domain's reputation, which is earned by sending wanted mail to people who opted in. No tool can hand that over. What this one does is authenticate properly, honor unsubscribes immediately, and make segmenting easier than blasting everyone.
Are unsubscribes handled?
Yes, on every send, automatically. Someone who opts out stops receiving campaigns without you doing anything. The decision to only email people who gave you permission in the first place is still yours.
Can I set up a welcome sequence?
Yes. Journeys run on triggers, so a sequence can start when a contact is created, is in a segment, has a tag, opens or clicks an email, submits a form, does something you track on your site, or reaches a date you keep on the contact, and it keeps running after you stop thinking about it.
