How to Run Your First Campaign in Creaiter
Written and checked by The Creaiter team
A campaign is several pieces of content aimed at one goal, going out across more than one channel, on a schedule. In Creaiter you describe the goal in the chat and get back a strategy and a queue of drafts. Nothing sends until you approve it.
Which channels a campaign can reach depends on what you connected. Blog posts publish to your own site: WordPress, Wix, Vercel or a custom site, whichever you connected in Settings. Email needs Resend. SMS needs Twilio. Social posts need your social accounts connected. Connect what you need before you plan, or you will build a queue you cannot launch.
What a campaign is here
Think of it as a folder with a deadline. One goal, a set of pieces, and dates. The value is not that AI writes each piece. It is that the pieces know about each other.
- 01A blog post that the emails point to.
- 02Social posts that carry the same message rather than saying something unrelated.
- 03Email that lands on a date that makes sense relative to the post going live.
- 04What it is not: paid advertising. Creaiter does not manage ad accounts or spend budget. Everything in a campaign is owned media, meaning your site, your list, and your accounts.
Step 1: Describe the campaign in chat
Say what you are trying to make happen, not what you want written. The plan comes out better when it starts from an outcome. Vague in, vague out. Run a campaign for our new feature produces a plan you will rewrite. Two extra sentences up front saves an hour later.
- 01State the goal in one line, with a number if you have one, like get 200 signups for the March webinar.
- 02Name the audience specifically.
- 03Give the dates: when it starts, when it ends, and any date that cannot move.
- 04List the channels you want used, and any you want left alone.
- 05Say what you already have. An existing landing page or a post that worked before is a strong starting point.
Step 2: Review the strategy before any writing
Creaiter comes back with a strategy: the angle, the pieces, the channels, and the schedule. Read it before approving any writing, because every draft that follows inherits whatever is wrong here. Rework at this stage is cheap.
- 01Does the angle match how your customers actually talk about the problem?
- 02Is the number of pieces realistic for the time you have, and for your capacity to review them?
- 03Does the sequencing hold up, so no email points at a post that is not live yet?
- 04Are the channels ones you can actually send on today, given what is connected?
- 05Push back in the chat. Cut it to five pieces. Move the launch email to the day after the post. Drop the SMS, we are not set up for that.
Step 3: Approve the content queue
Once the strategy is settled, the pieces get drafted and sit in a queue, each one a draft in your content repository waiting for approval.
Go through them in the order a reader would receive them. Reviewing out of order hides repetition, and repetition is the most common problem in a generated queue.
- 01Read the whole queue front to back once before you edit anything.
- 02Cut duplicate phrasing between the email and the social posts. The same people see both.
- 03Verify every claim about your product. Fabricated details are most expensive here, because they go out on several channels at once.
- 04Check links, dates, and prices in every piece, including the ones you skimmed.
- 05Approve each piece deliberately. Anything not approved does not go out.
- 06If a piece is wrong in a way editing will not fix, ask for a replacement instead of rescuing it.
Step 4: Launch across channels
Launching runs the approved queue against the schedule. Blog posts publish to your connected site, email sends through Resend, social posts go to your connected accounts, and SMS goes through Twilio if you set it up.
- 01Confirm every connection you depend on is working right now, not just that it was connected once.
- 02Check send times in your own time zone.
- 03If you have any doubt, send to the smallest segment first and let the rest follow.
- 04Stay available for the first hour. The problems that surface do so immediately.
- 05If something needs to stop, stop it in Creaiter. Email that has already left cannot be recalled by anyone, in any tool.
After launch
Give it time before judging it. A campaign that looks flat on day one often looks different by day five, especially the search traffic part.
Ask the chat what happened rather than assembling a report yourself. With GA4 and Search Console connected, it answers from your data. Then write down the one thing you would change, and start the next campaign with it.
