How to Get Started With Creaiter in 15 Minutes

Written and checked by The Creaiter team

Creaiter is one chat that does marketing work. You describe the job in plain language and it researches, writes, schedules, publishes, and reports back. There is no dashboard to learn first. The chat is the product.

This page covers the first fifteen minutes: an account, one AI key, a short briefing about your business, and one real task. Do those four things and you will know inside a quarter of an hour whether this fits how you work. Creaiter is free during early access. The whole product, no card.

Before you start

Two of the four steps need something from outside Creaiter. Gather these now so you are not hunting for them halfway through setup.

  1. 01An API key from one AI provider. Creaiter supports OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and Mistral. If you have none of them, create an account with one provider and generate a key there first.
  2. 02A few sentences about your business: what you sell, who buys it, and how you talk to them.
  3. 03Your website address, if you have one. You need it later to connect your site for publishing, whether that is WordPress, Wix, Vercel or a custom site.
  4. 04Optional for now: access to your Google Analytics 4 and Search Console properties, for reporting once you have something live.

Step 1: Create your account

Sign up on the Creaiter site with your email address. Early access is free and covers the whole product, so there is no plan to choose and no card to enter. Paid tiers are planned at $29 for Pro and $99 for Business, but they are not purchasable yet, and nothing you build now sits behind them.

The first thing you see in the app is a chat box, not a setup form. That is correct — the chat is the product.

There is also a guided setup if you would rather be walked through it: Settings → Help & Tour → Setup wizard. It covers the same four steps this guide does — a tour, your AI key, your business details, and your first piece of content — and you can restart it at any time. The rest of this page is the same journey done by hand, so follow whichever you prefer rather than both.

Step 2: Add an AI provider key

Creaiter runs on your own AI provider key rather than reselling capacity. You add the key once in Settings and the chat uses it from then on. This is why the product can be free during early access, and it is also why the chat cannot answer anything before a key exists.

  1. 01Generate an API key inside your provider account. OpenRouter is an easy starting point because one key reaches many models.
  2. 02Open Settings in Creaiter and add the key under the matching provider.
  3. 03Save it, then go back to the chat and send any short message to confirm you get a reply.
  4. 04If you get an error instead of an answer, re-check the key first. Copy it again with no leading or trailing spaces.

Step 3: Tell the chat about your business

This is the step people skip, and then they wonder why the output reads like a template. Creaiter writes from what it knows about you. Three minutes here improves every draft that follows.

Type it as a message, the way you would brief a new freelancer on their first morning.

  1. 01Describe the business in your own words. Two or three paragraphs beat a bullet list.
  2. 02Name the audience specifically. Facilities managers at mid-size hospitals beats businesses.
  3. 03Paste in writing you already like, such as your homepage copy or an email that worked.
  4. 04State the tone in plain terms, like direct, no hype, no exclamation marks.
  5. 05Say what you never want said: claims you cannot back, words you hate, competitors you do not name.

Step 4: Ask for the first piece of work

Now give it a real job, not a test. A test question gets a test answer and teaches you nothing. Good first asks are small, complete, and checkable.

  1. 01Find ten keywords we could realistically rank for, and tell me which are worth writing.
  2. 02Draft a blog post about this topic for this audience, around 900 words.
  3. 03Write three social posts announcing this thing, in our tone.
  4. 04Plan a four-email welcome sequence for people who download our guide.

What to do next

Whatever comes back, push on it. Say what is wrong. Too formal. You invented a statistic, remove it. Make the second section about pricing instead. The chat holds the thread, so your corrections stack instead of resetting.

Finished work lands in your content repository as a draft. Nothing publishes and nothing sends until you approve it.

The next connections are the ones that turn drafts into published, measured work.

  1. 01Connect your website so the chat can publish for you instead of handing you text to paste. WordPress and Wix need no code. A Vercel or custom site needs a small publish endpoint added to it first.
  2. 02Connect GA4 and Search Console so reporting uses your real numbers.
  3. 03Add Resend if you want to send email, or Twilio for SMS.
  4. 04Plan around the limits: Creaiter does not manage paid ads, is not a sales CRM, does not audit backlinks, and does not publish into Webflow, Squarespace, Ghost, Shopify or Contentful. It publishes to WordPress and Wix directly, and to a Vercel or custom site through a small publish endpoint you add to it.
